Originally released in 2001 on Swedish label Nusond but because of distribution problems only 100 copies ever made it out, this marvellous song gets a fine re-release together with two new and stunning remixes. At that point "I" was the collaborative effort between Erik Möller (of Unai fame) and Rickard Berglöf (aka Vibrasphere). They had long thought of fusing their love of traditional pop and reggae with electronics, and after meeting a vocalist at a club in their hometown of Uppsala, Sweden they decided to give it a go. "Wide road" was the unique result. This was the only two cuts that came from that collaboration. The singer disappeared only a few weeks after the recordings were made, never to show up again. And soon Erik and Rickard also decided to go separate ways musicwise. This was not the end of "I" though, as Erik picked up the project a few years later, which coming releases on Souldub will reveal. But this one-off recording is such a fine example of the special sound of " I " that it needs to be shown to the world
again.
