Label background:

First launched in 1992, Generator became one of Detroit's most revered techno labels for straight-ahead dancefloor techno. Guided by the multi-talented Alan D. Oldham aka DJ T-1000 (Pure Sonik/ DJAX Records/Tresor), Generator boasted inspired releases from himself and Woody McBride, remixes from UK superstar Dave Clarke and seminal first releases by Sean Deason, Marco Passarani, and many others.  Generator is now back in gear and releasing electronic music influenced by Chicago and Detroit.

Release Description:

Chicago native Mauser aka Miles Christian drops his debut 12" featuring 4 seriously bangin' tracks crafted in the spirit and excitement of acid classics from artists like Larry Heard/Fingers Inc., Sleezy D, Scrappy, and Phuture yet employing modern techno characteristics.

"Jack Orchestra" is the 303-ish lead track incorporating Detroit soul with constantly shifting patterns and deep chord progressions to shape a dramatic aural experience.

"Controll" boasts vocal stabs and industrial-strength chants of "Control, Alt, Destroy" over intricate acid patterns infused with relentless 808 drum programming.

"Skitzophrenic" is a full-on 'brain on acid' trip meshed with Chicago 'jack track' style drum instrumentation.

"Waking The Dragon" embarks on a subtle, seductive path of rich, dark acid basslines that rollercoasters into hyper-driven waves of acid and frenetic drums.
